I have been working toward this moment since 2008, when I first dreamed of bringing all my recipes—especially our family recipes—together in one book.
I began a project I tentatively called Festina’s Cookbook. “Festina” was my nickname on social media, where I shared recipes and photographs of the dishes I made. Life was always busy, and although I kept collecting recipes and working on the book little by little, I rewrote it probably ten times—or more.
At last, I decided to give this project the time it deserved. Since 2023, I have devoted much more attention to it. As I gathered everything together, I realized just how much I had collected: so many recipes and thousands of photographs. I love cooking, especially for my family and friends, and the collection kept growing.
When I finally made a list of the recipes, it became clear that they would fill several books, not just one.
Now the first volume, At Olena’s Table: Appetizers & Small Bites, is ready. I’m incredibly happy that you can now get your copy and share these recipes at your own table.
